SPECIAL COATED PIPE FITTINGS FOR CORROSION

Advanced Anti-Corrosion Coatings for Long-Lasting Industrial Pipe Fittings

To ensure durability in harsh operating environments, LPF offers special coatings for both internal and external pipe surfaces. These coatings significantly enhance the corrosion resistance and extend the service life of pipe fittings used in oil & gas, chemical, marine, and water treatment industries.

Corrosion, the global threat

Oil and Gas is constantly flowing through pipeline and that are typically made of carbon steel.

And whenever there is carbon steel, there is a risk of corrosion.

The fight against corrosion is unending. Pipeline industries facing an accurate and challenging threat of corrosion globally in recent time.

LPF accepts this challenge and committed to provide a solution and support to its customers.

To provide perfect product, desired by LPF clients, we established an in-house corrosion testing facility which. includes HIC (Hydrogen Induced Cracking) testing.

Our highly trained chemists and technicians makes sure that LPF's valued customers can get best possible product quality to fight against the lethal criteria......the corrosion.

External Coating, Internal lining FBE. Epoxy,3PE,3PP

Internal FBE Coated 16" 18" 24" Pipe and fittings for Dangote refinery

External coating and internal lining are protective measures applied to the surfaces of pipelines to prevent corrosion, enhance durability, and provide additional insulation. Commonly used coatings include FBE (Fusion-Bonded Epoxy), 3PE (Three-Layer Polyethylene), and 3PP (Three-Layer Polypropylene).

FBE (Fusion-Bonded Epoxy):

FBE is a thermosetting epoxy powder coating that is applied to the external surface of pipelines. It is electrostatically applied and then heat-cured to form a durable, corrosion-resistant barrier. FBE coatings provide excellent adhesion, impact resistance, and chemical resistance. They are commonly used in oil and gas pipelines, water pipelines, and other applications where corrosion protection is essential.

3PE (Three-Layer Polyethylene):

3PE coating consists of three layers: a fusion-bonded epoxy layer as the primer, an adhesive layer, and a polyethylene outer layer. The primer layer provides corrosion resistance, the adhesive layer ensures proper bonding, and the polyethylene layer acts as a protective barrier. 3PE coatings offer excellent resistance against moisture, chemicals, and abrasion. They are widely used in buried pipelines, offshore pipelines, and other environments where long-term corrosion protection is required.

3PP (Three-Layer Polypropylene):

3PP coating is similar to 3PE coating but utilizes a polypropylene outer layer instead of polyethylene. It provides similar benefits, including corrosion resistance, impact resistance, and chemical resistance. 3PP coatings are commonly used in industries where higher temperatures or aggressive chemicals are present, such as chemical processing plants and refineries.

It's important to note that the selection of the coating or lining system depends on factors such as the type of pipeline, operating conditions, conveyed media, and environmental factors. Each system has its own advantages and limitations, and the choice should be based on a thorough evaluation of the specific project requirements and industry standards.

Coated internal insert Sleeve

Coated internal insert Sleeve for Dangote refinery

A coated internal insert sleeve is a protective lining or sleeve that is inserted into the interior of a pipe or pipeline to provide corrosion resistance and structural integrity. It acts as a barrier between the transported fluid and the pipe, preventing direct contact and reducing the risk of corrosion or erosion. The sleeve is typically made of a corrosion-resistant material such as steel, stainless steel, or polymer composite. The internal surface of the sleeve is coated with a protective material or lining to enhance its resistance to corrosion or chemical attack.

Common types of coatings used for internal insert sleeves include:
  • Epoxy Coatings
  • Polyurethane Coatings
  • Rubber Linings

The selection of the coating or lining material for the internal insert sleeve depends on several factors, including the nature of the transported fluid, operating conditions (temperature, pressure), chemical compatibility, and industry standards or regulations.

Internal insert sleeves with coatings or linings are used in various industries, including oil and gas, chemical processing, water treatment, and mining. They are employed in pipelines, tanks, and other equipment where corrosion protection and fluid integrity are crucial.

Cement-Mortar lined

ADNOC Project

Cement-mortar lined fittings refer to pipe fittings that have an internal lining of cement mortar to provide corrosion protection and enhance the hydraulic performance of the fittings. The cement mortar lining is typically applied to the interior surface of fittings such as elbows, tees, reducers, and flanges.

The cement-mortar lining offers several benefits, including:

  • Corrosion Protection
  • Hydraulic Performance
  • Abrasion Resistance

Cement-mortar lined fittings are commonly used in water distribution systems, sewer pipelines, and other applications where corrosion protection and hydraulic efficiency are important. They are particularly suitable for conveying water, wastewater, and other non-aggressive fluids.
