Flow Tee
A flow tee, also known as a flow-through tee or flowline tee, is a type of fitting used in fluid systems to divert or combine the flow of fluids. It is a T-shaped structure with three ports and it is commonly used in pipelines and plumbing systems to direct the flow of liquids or gasses in different directions. Flow tees are available in various sizes, materials, and configurations to suit different fluid handling requirements
A method and apparatus for passing a pipeline sphere through a flow tee disposed in a pipeline whereby fluid flowing through the pipeline may selectively be flowed through at least one of the outlets of the run of the flow tee or the branch outlet of the flow tee while preventing the sphere from entering the branch outlet. A gap is formed in the run of the flow tee at its junction with the branch outlet so that fluid may pass through either the run or the branch outlet when the run is occupied by a pipeline sphere.
Barred Tee
A barred tee, also known as a branch outlet fitting or a welding outlet tee, is a type of tee fitting used in piping systems to create a branch connection from an existing pipeline. It allows for the addition of a smaller-diameter pipe or instrument connection perpendicular to the main pipeline.
Barred tees are commonly used in applications where a branch connection is needed for process lines, pipelines, or instrumentation lines. They are often employed in industries such as oil and gas, petrochemicals, power generation, and refineries.
| Type | Size | Mark |
| Barred Tee | 4-24" | Seamless |
| Barred Tee | 20-84" | Welded |

A lateral tee, also known as a lateral fitting or a wye tee, is a type of tee fitting used in piping systems to create a branch connection at a 45-degree angle to the main pipeline. It is called a "lateral" tee because the branch connection is positioned laterally, or horizontally, relative to the main flow direction.
The lateral tee has a T-shaped configuration like a standard tee, but it is designed with an angled outlet. The branch connection typically extends at a 45-degree angle from the main pipe, allowing for the diversion of flow in a different direction.
Lateral tees are commonly used in applications where a branch connection is needed for flow distribution, fluid sampling, or instrumentation purposes. They find applications in various industries, including oil and gas, chemical processing, water treatment, and HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems.
| Type | Size | Mark |
| Lateral Tee | 2-16" | Seamless |
| Lateral Tee | 16-24" | Seamless/Welded |
| Lateral Tee | 26-48" | Welded |
WYE
Special Lateral Cross WP11 for HMEL Project by L&T
WYE fittings, also known as Y fittings, have a Y-shaped design. They are used to create branch connections in plumbing systems, allowing the flow of fluid or gas to be split into two separate directions.
The WYE fitting has three openings: one inlet and two outlets. The inlet is typically larger in diameter than the outlets, allowing for the main flow to enter the fitting. The two outlets are generally the same size and are positioned at an angle of 45 degrees to the inlet, forming a Y shape.
WYE fittings are commonly used in drainage and venting systems to connect horizontal branch lines to vertical main lines. They are also used in HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems, where they can be employed to split the airflow into different ducts.
| Type | Size | Mark |
| WYE | 4-96" | Welded |
Split Tee/Cross

A split tee, also known as a split lateral tee or a split wye tee, is a type of tee fitting used in piping systems to create a branch connection at a specific location along the length of a pipe. It allows for the addition of a new pipe or equipment without the need to cut the main pipeline. A split tee is designed with a longitudinal split or cut along the length of the tee body.
Split tees are commonly used in applications where a branch connection is required in an operational pipeline. They are often used in industries such as oil and gas, water distribution, chemical processing, and infrastructure projects.
Split tees are available in various sizes, materials, and pressure ratings to meet the specific requirements of different piping systems. They can be manufactured from materials such as carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, or other corrosion-resistant alloys, depending on the application and the fluid being transported.
Hot Tapping Split Tee
Hot tapping, also known as pressure tapping or line stopping, is a method used to create a connection or branch in an existing pipeline without interrupting the flow or shutting down the system. A hot tapping split tee is a specific type of fitting used in the hot tapping process.
A split tee is a tee-shaped fitting that has a flange on one end and a split or cut on the other end. It is designed to be installed on an existing pipeline by bolting the flange end onto the pipeline, creating a temporary connection point. The split end allows for the insertion of a tapping machine or tool into the pipeline to create a new branch or connection.
Hot tapping using a split Tee offers several advantages, including:
- Minimizing downtime
- Cost-effectiveness
- Flexibility
Weldolet
A weldolet is a type of branch connection fitting used in piping systems to create a branch connection from a main pipeline. It is a butt-weld fitting that allows for the attachment of a smaller-diameter pipe or equipment to the main pipeline. The weldolet is designed with a contoured shape, resembling a sock or a mitten. It has a main body with a weld bevel on one end that is welded to the main pipe, while the other end features a branch outlet that allows for the attachment of the branch pipe or equipment. The branch outlet can be a threaded connection or a socket weld connection, depending on the specific weldolet design.
Weldolets are commonly used in applications where a branch connection is required to distribute flow or connect additional equipment to the main pipeline. They are widely used in industries such as oil and gas, petrochemicals, power generation, and refineries.
Special Forging
Special forging refers to the process of manufacturing forged components that have unique or customized designs, shapes, or properties to meet specific application requirements. It involves using specialized techniques and equipment to create forgings that go beyond standard shapes and sizes.
Special forge fittings can be made from various materials, including carbon steel, stainless steel, alloy steel, and other metals or alloys. The forging process allows for the creation of fittings with superior strength, durability, and resistance to high-pressure and high-temperature environments.
Some examples of special forge fittings include:- Swage Nipples
- Customized Elbows
- Flanged Fittings
- High-Pressure Fittings
- Customized Connections
These are just a few examples of the various types of special forge fittings available. The customization possibilities are vast, allowing for tailored fittings that meet the specific needs of industries such as oil and gas, chemical processing, power generation, and more.
